South east cornwall is an area famous for its beautiful beaches, fantastic coastal walks, complimented by many historic fishing villages, including Looe and Polperro which are both only 15 minutes from Higher Penhole. For a healthy and fun day out you can hire a bike and cycle along the old railway from Bodmin to Padstow, called the Camel Trail, beautiful views by the river and the chance to stop for a cream tea or a drink at the pub.

Hidden beaches like Lansallos Bay shown here are often quiet and idylic. If you fancy something busier Looe is only 10-15 minutes away and offers shops, cafes and safe bathing for all.
